I've given up my Sundays at the ranch. Instead I'll be doing stuff with my family or working out at the pack station, OR (heaven forbid!) actually spending some time with my own horse. Seems like I've been the troublemaker out at the ranch lately. There used to be another instructor there who was always getting called in for 'talks'. Now that she's gone, they've been calling me in quite a bit. So I am weighing my options. Having Sundays off is nice and working at the ranch is something I've been doing because it's fun and I love teaching my students. It is not something that is necessary to my survival, however, and if it starts becoming a problem then I'm not going to do it anymore. Maybe my Saturdays will be freed up here pretty soon. Drama is definitely not on my list of things I want more of in life. Things will be very different if I end up going back to work full-time.
We are all still a little sick. Viola is much better but Avery is really cranky. I think she is teething, as well. She has a bunch of teeth now- I think about 6 in total. Viola is going to the dentist on Tuesday for the first time. I am a little afraid to hear what they have to say, despite the fact she loves to brush her teeth. Avery is hooked on books. She has been bringing us books and throwing them at us and then having a tantrum if we don't read them to her ten times in a row. Her favorites right now are "Where is Baby's Belly Button" and "Neighborhood Animals" and this touch-and-feel farm animal book. I guess there are worse obsessions for a 1-year-old than books.
