It was a beautiful day today. For a while, everything slipped into this little groove and the universe was singing to me in perfect harmony. Dean lost his keys(well, they were absconded by our little key theif aka Baby A). I found them. There is something right nice about finding something that is lost. Its funny how you can tear the house up for an hour and a half trying to find soomething and then just as you settle down in the recliner having returned from making new copies of the keys, you see something sparkly glinting at you from under one of the couch cushions.
This afternoon we went to Toys R Us. We left with a Radio Flyer wagon, just like I had when I was a kid exceot I don't think mine had off-road tires. We used to cruise that thing down the driveway, veer off into the grass, roll a couple of times and jump up and do it again. So a couple of hours and a bunch of swear words later I had the thing assembled. I piled the kids in it with a bunch of blankies and we took off for the shopping center a mile away to pick up dinner. There we were, cruising along with our Radio Flyer. I pulled the wagon into the Starbucks and bought us all great big cookies to eat on the way home. It didn't hurt that the air was filled with the scent of night jasmine on the way back.
We came home and stuffed ourselves with chicken satay and pad thai.
I ran for an hour this morning, a full sixty minutes. That is just about six miles for me. Basically, if I am going to run a marathon, I better be ready to run for about 4 and a half hours straight. How messed up is that?
I spoke with the owner of the stallion that will be bred to Cosette. The vet comes out next monday to do her pre-breeding exam. Hopefully we'll get her bred in the next month or two. I am so excited.
