Viola is sitting here on the floor, coloring and putting her drawings in envelopes to send to Grandmas and Grandpas. She's been drawing all these fabulous, sunshine-smiley-faces. I could wallpaper the house with these, and how grand it would be.
I have just been reading on CNN that more hostages have been taken, this time one of them is a U.S. Marine. So, now I want to see some talking walking. We know that the military is interrogating people over in Iraq. We have the most sophisticated technology on the planet available to us. Why can't we find these people and rescue our guys, and Turkey's guys and whoever else these people are planning to slaughter? There has to be some monetary sum, some threat, that will unearth these people.
How does our president sleep at night, knowing he has sent other people's children, husbands, fathers to be murdered like this?
On a more pleasant note, I rode Cosette today. She behaved wonderfully well. She spooked a couple of times but nothing major that I couldn't handle. She appears never to have seen a cow before and is just terrified of them. There is a small herd across from the indoor and outdoor arena areas. The one open side of the indoor arena faces the cow pasture and so she was not wanting to go into that end of the arena. I eased her into it and she settled down after a while. We're really enjoying the new digs and Cosette seems to be settling in.
It's hot out today. Dean has gone in to work and Avery is sleeping in the car. I am about to go out and water the garden, it is looking a little wilty.
