Hey - I've been wondering how the marathon training is going - you haven't mentioned running in your blog, so I wondered if you were still doing it...

I'm sure I haven't ridden as intensely as you (at least, not as an adult -- a bunch of lessons and a handful of trail rides doesn't amount to much) but BOY, I do remember how much it takes out of you. You slide out of that saddle and your legs feel like jelly. Not to mention your sore behind. But I do miss it tons. :-) Thanks for sharing, I love the horse stories.
