So, now we are all sick. Yesterday kinda sucked. Today sucks worse. My ear hurts, my head hurts, my throat hurts. The worst part is that wobbly-legged flu-ish feeling that is pervading my body right now. We had a short afternoon with the horses (three hours as opposed to five or six) yesterday. By the end of which, I thought I was going to keel right over. I didn't, though. I came home and took enough drugs to get me through folding 5 loads of laundry and then went to bed where I dealt with a sick Baby Avery until 3am when she finally fell into a restless, but mostly-silent sleep.
I'm all shaky right now.
I feel like crap.
On the bright side, at least I'm not living on a cot in a sports stadium.
The New York Times has some really good Op-Ed material on the hurricane this morning.
Another bright spot? Turns out I don't have to go to New York next week. (Down side being that I'll be in freeze-yer-ass Ill. in January, but hey, I'll deal when the time comes). Anyhow, I got out of it because I'll be at a workshop on the 14th put on by the Wine Institute.
I cleaned bathrooms last night. Hey, might as well put the stuffy nose to use while I can.
