First off, I have to tell you... Crabby Patty came up finally, sorted through a big pile of new, deluxe shells I put in the hermit crab habitat, and changed shells. First, she tried on one shell and kept flipping over on her back- too heavy, too unwieldly. She switched out of that one into another and seems quite content. This shell is enormous. She was living in a shack, now she's got her mansion. Go girl!
Sparkle and Shamrock are still buried. Hope they're just taking their time molting.
We have a new pet! Dean and the girls caught a lizard over the weekend. His name is Jerry and he likes day-old crickets- boy does he. He is just fascinating to watch. Dean thinks he is a skink. I told him not to call Jerry that. I never thought I would find it so interestesting to watch a lizard stalk baby crickets. The girls are just gone over him.
Avery started back to preschool yesterday. So far, so good. She is in the Pre-K class even tho she is only three. They say they can't see any differences socially yet and she is still ahead of some of her classmates in her skills- so looks like it will work out. I'm relieved. I was pretty sure she was going to go and pinch or kick someone on the first day and that would be it for us. So far, flying under the radar...
My fall shoe wardrobe has been arriving via the Fed-Ex and UPS guys- one box at a time. My pumps from Urban Outfitters came the other day, as did my peep-toed pumps from Bandolino. I was surprised how comfy the pumps from UO are. Shoes just seem so rarely to be both comfortable and cute.
These round-toed, stacked-heel, platform pumps are going to be a staple this fall and winter- almost guaranteed. They were a steal at Urban Outfitters, especially compared to some of the other models available out there. Can't wait for the weather to warrant pulling out the extra long leggings to wear with these. They look pretty fantastic with jeans, too.
These pumps, which I got in bronze, are fabulous. They are Jonnie from Bandolino. I really wanted them in brown suede but could only find them in a size 10. Curse my extremely large feet!! Bronze will be nice- they are my only pair of that color, so hopefully the'll get some wear. I love the buckle and the peep-toe.
Finally, I want to share (because sharing is caring) my new favorite style of uderwear with you. This is the feather luxe Angels line from Victoria's Secret. Now, I'm not normally a bikini girl myself- I tend toward the boyshorts/hipsters or a simple v string. These bikinis are so soft and fit well, though, I want a pair for every day of the week. They are made out of modal cotton, super soft! They are cute, too, with contrasting lace trim and little bows- all girly and feminine like. Oh, look, there I am in my underwear. NOT! Ha ha. Yes, that, my friends is a Victoria's Secret model. She has fully articulated joints, opposable thumbs and is practically free to feed (lettuce and water twice a week).
What? Are you saying I'm the only one who cuts pictures out of the Victoria's Secret catalog and plays Sunset Strip Paper Dolls?
