Nadya Suleman and the right to reproduce at any cost.

Nadya Suleman makes me sick.

Come on all you Duggar supporters, this is what the media attention to families like the Duggars results in.  And let me tell you, God didn't put those 8 embryos in Nadya Suleman's uterus- a fertility specialist did.

My vote?  The doctor that implanted her with 6 embryos (two apparently divided and continued to grow independently) should be responsible for footing the bill for these children... unless, of course, she's already got a deal with TLC.  I wonder how many of these babies will have cerebral palsy? Learning disorders? Speech impediments? Or numerous other problems related to prematurity and being 1 of eight in a uterus designed to sustain 1, 2 or maybe 3 babies reasonably?  And of course, since Nadya seems to be collecting disability or some other sort of aid, the state will end up footing what will be a multimillion dollar bill over the years from NICU charges to physical, occupational and speech therapy.  Oh, and let's not forget the cost of feeding, clothing and housing all 14 of her chldren.

In my opinion, Nadya Suleman should have had to provide proof of how she was going to provide for the physical, mental and emotional well-being of her children before being implanted with 6 embryos.  They aren't dolls.  They aren't puppies.  Those babies are human beings.  They can't control that they were brought into the world by a nut job mother and a negligent doctor. 

Nadya Suleman probably is thinking she's going to get her own tv show or book deal or whatever, I mean, why not?  The media has glorified families that have reproduced like pigs or rabbits.  Nadya Suleman is ridiculous, irresponsible and irrational. 

Unfortunately, she will have her fifteen minutes of fame and then her children will have a lifetime of suffering.

Nadya Suleman makes me sick.
