Um. Wow. I just suck at this blogging thing lately. We've been busy. Avery turned 7- woo hoo! Viola turned 10- woop woop! I can hardly believe I've kept them alive this long...
Chocolate got neutered. Finally. He is my boy. And I have to say- the cutest dog ever! He does the funniest thing when I get back from running errands or picking the girls up or watever- he stands on his hind legs and jumps repeatedly while flailing his front paws back and forth.
Circus dog can stand like that for about ten seconds before he gets all four paws grounded again and waggles his entire body trying to wag his tail.
Vi has been super busy with the spring play but had to take a couple days off from school, play practice and soccer practice- all due to her asthma. She is on the mend now, though.
I've been very erratic with my cooking and baking lately. One of the other Girl Scout mamas and I made smoothies with the troop today. All the girls learned how to cut a mango, juice a lime with a reamer and use the blender. Tonight, we had chinese food in celebration of Vi's birthday. Later I realized I had a couple pounds of ground beef that needed to get used up so I whipped up two different meatloaves. Meatloaf is one of my big, clean-out-the-fridge recipes. Vi and I made a massive trifle with pound cake, vanilla pudding, blueberries, strawberries and whipped cream. It turned out beautifully.
I'm thinking about starting a girls night, maybe every other week... monthly? I was thinking it would be fun to get together some of my girl friends and bake, knit maybe even scrapbook or make cards. I miss my bookclub! I suppose I could get another bookclub going.. hrm. Have to think.
Crazy wild life, right? I am also in the midst of trying to get my photography business up and running again. I'll have the web site done soon. If anyone is getting married in the San Francisco Bay area and needs a photographer or if anyone is looking for head shots, pregnancy photos or family portraits... drop me a line!
I have been playing with new equipment. All my medium format equipment is Pentax, the majority of my 35mm cameras are Nikon. I've decided to commit to converting to Canon so have been playing around with an EOS D5 Mark II and an EOS D50. Still trying to get past my Nikon autopilot but overall have been awfully pleased with the quality of the shots I've been getting. Here's to joining the digital age... cheers.
