• "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" --Mary Oliver

  • Your biggest challenge isn't someone else. It's the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs, and the little voice inside you the yells, "can't!" But you don't listen; you just push harder and then you hear the voice whisper "can" and you realize the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are.

Is that Cosette, Shadow, or Foxy? She looks lovely! You have to clean her every day, to protect her from fleas and lice. Judging from these pictures, you really are a horseback instructor! By the way, is that your own ranch in the picture?

Thanks for the comments- I am totally out of riding shape- almost didn't post these. This is Fox in Sox, a filly out of Foxglen Himself(and Irish Draught) crossed with our TB mare, Cosette who is at least 16.1, sorrel and has 4 white socks. Shadow is our quarter horse and he looks almost dun colored but not quite. He has the cutest face. This NOT our ranch. My husband works for Google and I hope that eventually we will retire and have a ranch of our own out in the boonies where I do not have to deal with the suburban malaise of the Bay Area. -Amy
